Honor has been traditionally releasing budget devices such as the Honor 7X, 8X and 9X on yesteryears. Recently, Honor took jabs on the higher tier of devices on premium midrange devices with the Honor 30 series. Today, Honor has been priming their X10 series positioned at the budget segment.

The Honor X10 is now rumored to feature the Sony IMX 600y sensor. This is a 40MP RYYB sensor designed by Sony for Huawei and was used in their flagship device, specifically the Huawei P30 series. This means, Honor has focused camera prowess on the budget device. Excellent hardware may mean better overall photo quality given that software will hone to expound that capability.

Aside from the main sensor, the X10 is expected to feature HiSilicon’s latest silicon, the Kirin 820 5G. This is found on much more expensive Huawei and Honor devices such as the Honor 30S and the Huawei Nova 7 SE. This performer blazes above the midrange charts in benchmarks at about 360,000 to 380,000 in AnTuTu benchmark v8. This is just a hair below with their HiSilicon Kirin 985 and the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L.

The Honor X10 will be complying with the 2020 standards in terms of media consumption with the use of higher refresh rate displays. On this latest poster, they have indicated that the X10 will have 90Hz refresh rate and also a high touch sampling rate.

Its specifications based on rumors are listed below.

• 6.63-inch Full HD IPS LCD display
• 90Hz refresh rate
• 40MP Sony IMX 600y RYYB sensor
• HiSilicon Kirin 820 5G
• 4,300mAh battery
• 22.5W fast charging
• IP5X splash and dust resistance
• Bluetooth 5.1/LE
• 64GB/128GB storage (expandable via NM card)
• Side-mounted scanner
• MagicUI 3.1.1

A tipster claims that the Honor X10 could cost as low as 1899CNY or PHP 13.3K. In case, this is a beefy budget device in terms of hardware with a use of a sensor that punches above its class and a high performing 5G chip. The launch will be happening later today at China.
