LG Velvet Is Now Official, Snapdragon 765 And Stylus Support

LG with their Velvet device has made noises on the rumor mill. Firstly, rumors that the G series of devices from LG will be shelved and a device with a 700 series chip from Qualcomm shall suffice to its position. CAD renders and sketches were also shared as they introduce the Velvet.

Just recently, LG has unveiled the LG Velvet. 
At the front is a spillway notch display measuring at 6.8 inches. A P-OLED Full HD panel with an aspect ratio of 20.5:9 is tasked to display media for the user. 


For the processing prowess, LG equipped the Velvet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 mobile platform. The device is 5G ready as the mobile platform natively supports 5G network with its built-in Qualcomm X52 5G modem.

This is paired with an Adreno 620 GPU and 8GB of RAM. The silo for storage is at 128GB and is expandable via MicroSD card. 


For the battery, the device has a 4300mAh tank to energize the device. The device has fast charging and fast wireless charging support. Though, no mention of any sort of power rating information.


 The main sensor for the triple camera system is a 48MP sensor. This is helped by a 8MP sensor for ultrawide shots. A 5MP sensor is tasked for depth assistance. The selfie camera located on the notch at the center top of the display is a 16MP effort. 


Other features include a 3.5mm analog port, Wacom stylus support for up to 4,096 levels and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Android 10 with LG’s custom UI is booting up the device. 


The device is expected to retail at an equivalent of $735/€700 which is PHP 38.8K converted.
