OnePlus is expected to debut the OnePlus 8 series to the market this 15th of April. However, Roland Quandt from Winfuture has already listed almost all of its technical specifications ahead of launch. The series is made up of two devices, the OnePlus 8 and its Pro variant.

For the standard variant, it is expected to feature a 6.55-inch panel in the front. The screen is a Full HD AMOLED screen which refreshes at 90Hz. OnePlus calls it “Fluid AMOLED”. The screen is also expected to support HDR 10+ content. The display has a punch-hole cutout in which the selfie camera is positioned.

The internals, aside from the expected Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, is armed with LPDDR4X RAM which either can be 8 or 12 gigabytes. This is paired with 128 or 256 gigabytes of flash internal storage which is a UFS 3.0 spec.

A 48MP Sony IMX 586 is leading the rear camera system, with OIS and EIS. This is supported with a 16MP snapper for a 116° ultrawide shots. And further helped by a 2MP for close-up macro capabilities. For the selfie department, it is equipped with a 16MP Sony IMX 471 inside the hole punch cutout.

The battery is a 4300mAh cell which supports WarpCharge 30T, OnePlus’ charging solution, which is rated at 30W in power.

On the other hand, the Pro version offers some key upgrades from the standard variant.
The display gets a retouch with a 6.78-inch panel. The resolution is Quad HD and refreshes at 120Hz.
The internals, aside from the Snapdragon 865, gets a makeover with LPDDR5 RAM instead of the last generation LPDDR4X where similar capacities are offered. This is also true as well with the storage capacity.

A noticeable bump up in camera hardware is present on the Pro variant. Its main gun is the 48MP Sony IMX 689, which is also found on the Find X2 Pro. The ultrawide camera has the sensor used on the main shooter from its sibling, the 48MP Sony IMX 586. A 5MP color filter joins the array as well. Lastly, the rear setup is completed by an 8MP telephoto module which has 3x optical zoom capabilities. The selfie camera is also the 16MP Sony IMX 471 found on the vanilla version.

4510mAh is the power tank’s capacity, which is slightly larger than the standard version. The device supports 30W WarpCharge Wireless, the first from any OnePlus device. This is in addition to the WarpCharge 30T.
The Pro version is now IP68 water and dust resistance rated.
Both devices are equipped with Qualcomm’s top of the line chipset, the Snapdragon 865, 5G support.

Color selections include Onyx Black, Glacial Green and Interstellar Glow for the standard version. Onyx Black, Glacial Green and Ultramarine Blue for the Pro version.
Prices and availability are yet to be announced.
