More information regarding about the successor of the Reno3 series, the Reno5 series, have been spotted. Though, it wasn’t long enough since the Reno3 series have been introduced globally.

According to a tipster from Weibo, the Reno5 series will arrive in May. No information about its specifications, pricing nor an exact launch date has been disclosed.

Though, another source from Weibo has claimed that the series will be equipped with the new Dimensity series from MediaTek. This would be plausible since OPPO has a multitude of devices equipped with the chipsets from the Taiwanese firm.

As you can recall, it was just a month ago since the Reno3 series have been introduced globally, and yet to launch in the Philippines. The OPPO Reno3 Pro has a dual punch-hole cutout and is harnessed with a MediaTek Helio P95 processor. The vanilla Reno 3 runs on a Helio P90 processor and has a spillway notch.

Chinese variants vary as they pack more for its price. The Pro version has a Snapdragon 765G processor, a 90Hz OLED display and a single punch-hole cutout. And the standard Reno3 is the first device powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity chipsets, the Dimensity 1000L in particular.

Since the reported launch is from China, it will be logical if the Reno5 to be launched in May will succeed the Reno3 series that has arrived from China.
