Redmi K30 Pro details, specifications, launch date unveiled

Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing and alleged Redmi employees on Weibo has scattered different promotional posters and featured videos for the Redmi K30 Pro earlier today.

First, an advertisement popped on the social media application showing a poster about the launch date of the Redmi K30 Pro. It shows that the device will be launched at 2pm (UTC +8) at the 24th of March in China.

Lu Weibing also shared a poster of the Redmi K30 Pro. This shows a blue-green colorway. The device is now confirmed to don a pop-up mechanism for the selfie camera. This is to retain the uninterrupted display placed on the front of the device. Another notable feature is the retainment of the 3.5mm headphone port. The headphone port, is now a rarity these days, especially on more premium devices.

Redmi K30 Pro poster reveals other hardware specifications.

Also, official Redmi Weibo channel shared details about the storage and processor details. It is now confirmed to come with UFS 3.1 storage. This is a step up from the Redmi K20 Pro’s UFS 2.1 storage stashed inside. They have also confirmed the usage of LPDDR5 RAM, which are also found on other 2020 flagships, like Xiaomi’s own Mi 10. The system on a chip will be the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and will have support on 5G networks.

Other alleged specifications include a Full HD AMOLED display. A main shooter with a 64MP sensor, this is identified to be the Sony IMX 686.

Also, Redmi General Manager has also posted on Weibo using what supposed to be a Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition. This is confirmed via a small indicator on the top of his Weibo indicating a device used. From its name, we can safely assume that the Zoom edition will have some dedicated camera hardware for zooming capabilities.

Redmi Product Director Wang Teng Thomas also released a video with the Redmi K30 Pro testing AnTuTu benchmark. It has scored above 610,000. This is a very high score which the Snapdragon 865, UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 RAM are responsible of.

For now, it is speculated to be priced above 3000 RMB. But it is reported that it will be below 3500 RMB. Stay tuned for more updates!
