For vloggers, YouTubers, and content creators, microphone audio is one of the most important aspects of the end product. It has to be crisp, clear, and loud enough with not much background noise. Normal wired solutions exist to solve this, but its cumbersome to setup. And in recent years, consumer wireless microphone audio has recently taken a turn for the better with systems like the Rode Wireless Go, but its still kind of expensive. Enter Saramonic with their Blink 500 system: its compact, simple, and it only costs less than US$200.
We bought one for ourselves to use in our own content creation, so check out our unboxing and impressions video embedded above, or click the link here to go to YouTube directly.
We’re quite impressed with the Saramonic Blink 500 and the few range tests we did off-camera was more than enough for our piece-to-camera needs.
Of course, this is still our first impressions of the product and we still have many shoots to use it on to be really clear on our opinions of the product. But as it is today, we’re quite satisfied!
