Lazada is getting pretty futuristic with its features towards the upcoming 11.11 Sale, which is actually tomorrow by the time of this writing. As always, the November 11 sale this year (2019), will feature huge discounts on your favorite products from cosmetics, to tech, to fashion, sports, and basically all the categories under the Lazada online shopping destination.

But as we said, it gets pretty futuristic. The Lazada app will be updated with features like Image Scan, L’Oreal’s Magic Mirror, Moji-Go, and GUESS IT!

Image Scan

Image Scan is pretty Black Mirror-esque futuristic. Using the app, you can take pictures of clothes or others like baby products, and the Lazada app will process that photo and tell you which products from the online store are the same as those you took a photo of! This is similar to recent AI-based improvements that have popped up on modern smartphones today like Google Lens and Samsung Bixby, which can help you find products’ names and buy them even if you just take photos of them.

Lazada probably doesn’t have the computational chops to run a full AI recognition system, but during the demo they showed some fashion items and baby products have been recognized by the app. We look forward to this feature to improve in the future, but check it out during the 11.11 sale to play around with it!

L’Oreal’s Magic Mirror

The Magic Mirror is pretty simple – its an augmented reality selfie video camera that lets you track and overlay any L’Oreal makeup on your face – like your typical Snapchat or Instagram face filter. This is a good way to “test” the makeup before making a purchase, so ladies out there make sure to check it out!

Moji-Go

A fun game to play to get Lazada vouchers is called Moji-Go. With your phone’s selfie camera, you match facial expressions needed by the game to win prizes and vouchers to spend on the sale.

GUESS IT!

Is an interactive 4-hour liveshow that aired on November 4 to get vouchers. No update the same interactive show will happen, but this included names like Sam YG, Mimiyuuuh, David Guison, etc.

Lazada 11.11 SuperShow on November 10

So the night before the 11.11 Sale starts, Lazada will have a huge, high budget live stream show with big names from ABS-CBN headlined by Vice Ganda herself. This will be simulcast on ABS-CBN channels too so this is probably the first time we’ll ever see Lazada host a live stream on TV!

Other celebrities to appear on this stream include Billy Crawford, Karylle, and Mimiyuuh. With performances from James Reid, Maja Salvador, Mayward and more.

Voucher Rain will happen during this live stream also, its a game where you can slash icons to collect more vouchers. Brands like TRESemme, Promil, Platinum Karaoke, Sun Life and Hyundai will join the show with surprise performances.

The 11.11 SuperShow will start at 10:30PM On November 10, Sunday. (Today as of this writing.) So check it out on ABS-CBN on live on Lazada!

Taylor Swift will also have a surprise performance!

WIN A HYUNDAI REINA

Hyundai will raffle off a brand-new Hyundai Reina, and all you need to do is follow the Hyundai store on Lazada and wait for the winner to be announced on November 11. Woah, simple mechanics for a car, count us in!
