When we say, “This changes everything,” we really do mean it. The HyperX Cloud Revolver S can even literally change your crudgey old headphones into a Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound pair of cans. How, you ask? Well that’s because along with the classier, revamped Revolver headset unit from last year, it also packs a new USB Plug-and-Play Sound Card that can technically be used on any pair of headphones. While we’re sure HyperX isn’t keen on letting you use it on other devices, the functionality is definitely there. But you’re not buying this just for the dongle, right? Priced at PHP 7,500 or US$ 149, the Revolver S is the newest contender for Best Gaming Headphone as well – and it might just succeed at it. Watch our review embedded above or read up on our findings below to learn more!

HyperX bags another Editor’s Choice for the Cloud Revolver S and they deserve it. It’s a one of a kind package that blows our minds. You’re getting a solid headset for gaming, good microphone quality, high strength materials, decent quality music, and of course the Plug-and-Play 7.1 Surround Sound dongle. Nothing else in this market offers the same for this price – which is PHP 7,500 or US$149. The only thing that might prevent you from getting one is if you don’t care for the sound processing or you don’t like the metallic twang of the headband. Other than that, its a great deal.
