Asus ZenFone 3 Review – The Perfect Phone For Pretty Much Anybody

We’re finally here: our third ZenFone mainline series review. We couldn’t be more excited to give you our glowing recommendation of the ZE552KL ZenFone 3. A phone that far exceeded our every expectation and is currently seated as our official go-to phone; our daily driver. We’ve stopped using our backup phones altogether and have been using this device for about 3 months now and we’ve not looked back. It’s amazing content creation capabilities, battery life, and overall performance just makes it a no-brainer for us who has to have the best at a price we’re still very comfortable with. Pros:

• Lots of UI and Camera features
• Design & build quality to challenge top brands
• Amazing balance of performance & price
• Battery life that satisfies even the most power hungry
• The best overall phone we’ve seen all year

Cons:

• A lot of pre-installed bloatware
• Phone is slippery and is a fingerprint magnet
• A bit premium priced
• Minor losses in the lack of NFC and Fast Charging (more than 5v2a)

We thought Asus jumped the shark with the 3rd season of the ZenFone, but it turns out that this is the year that it’s finally reaching for the top. The ZenFone 3 crushes the mid-tier competition and is knocking on the door of top brands. It’s absolutely one of the best phones we’ve used and despite the price and some bloat we can find no real dealbreakers. The specs tell nothing of how amazing this phone is. It’s all the parts brought together that make it one of the most compelling smartphone packages this year. And that’s why we’re giving it our Editor’s Choice Award and is a huge contender for our Smartphone Of The Year award.
