Ever tried playing Remote Play PS4 on your PlayStation Vita? Its not exactly the best experience. While some games have some pretty decent remapped controls, touching those pads – especially the back one – are really frustrating. What we’ve always needed and wanted has been a grip that replicates the buttons on a real gamepad. And while there has been versions before that added L2 and R2, this product we’re checking out today is the first one available that gives us thumbstick clicks L3 and R3. It’s called the Hori PS Vita Remote Play Assistant Grip (in translated Japanese) and its available for about PHP 1,300 or US$30. Check out our impressions on the video embedded above!

So is this enough to revive your interest in the Vita or does Sony’s mishmash implementation of remote play controls holding it back? That’s up to you and hey if you want you can let us know via comments. That’s it for us in the meantime though!
