If you’re like us, you probably thought the original Cherry Mobile Omega HD was pretty awesome. Is. Is pretty awesome. But hey, we always knew it would be much better with a Quad-Core processor, right? Have no fear though – our prayers have been answered. The new Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 (long name) is now powered by a Quad-Core 1.2Ghz MediaTek MT6589 processor. And currently it is available in limited quantities at select stores for PHP 8,999 – just 1k more than the original. (And what’s more, we have one on hand and will answer all your questions about in on Saturday’s Big Time Show.) Anyway, more specs are there for you below. (And some possible places where you might be able to buy one today.)
Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 – PHP 8,999
Availability is quite limited right now, but we bought ours at Robinsons Galleria yesterday (with very limited stocks) and today Cherry Mobile SM North EDSA has announced that stocks will be arriving at their stores. So we guess if you hurry, you might be able to pick one up if you’re the early birdo-type kinda person. (Update: More branches have been announced!)
If you’d much rather wait for our opinions about the device though, we’ll be having our classic “Ask Us Anything Live” show about the Omega HD 2.0 this Saturday (10PM) on #BTS. Everybody is welcome to join and you can ask us anything and we’ll either answer it or show it to you on air, live. So see you on Saturday or watch the replay if you can’t come! (Both the live show and the replay are viewable on YouTube.)
