 The Nokia N9
At a recent Nokia event, we were able to get a hands-on with one of Nokia’s most anticipated devices – the Nokia N9. The phone is running an OS called Meego and it has a unique buttonless interface that is controlled by swiping from edges of the screen. Of course, whenever we have the chance to check out new phones and interfaces, our policy is to always record a video for you guys to check out – and that’s exactly what we did. In our video we check out its features including the three main screens, video playback, camera, music player, gallery, multitasking, as well as checking out the UI. You can peep that aforementioned video after the jump!
We’ve covered the Nokia N9 before, but we’ll give you a recap in case you “forgot”. The device is the Finnish company’s newest device which you can probably call a flagship for 2011. It is, however, running on a Meego OS that is unique to itself and no other phone, company-made or otherwise. Nokia have also declared that they won’t follow up the OS anymore so the N9 will become sort of a unique device going forward. It has a 1Ghz processor, 3.9” 854×480 display, 8MP AF camera and dual LED flash, 720x30FPS video, front facing camera, and the normal connectivity features. It will also include an NFC chip for that futuristic tap-to-communicate kind of thing – something that might get really big for payments and other data transfers soon. But enough talking about it – you can check out our video below. Enjoy!
